Giving back is a crucial part of being a student here at Longwood. In my time here, I’ve seen more students here reaching out in so many ways to impact the world around them than I have anywhere else. There is a unique sense of drive and change that powers the community here at Longwood. In my time here, I have picked up on this sense of service and brought it with me throughout life outside of school. Back home I work with kids and help coach them while also helping those less fortunate. On campus, I worked with classmates to bring awareness to pollution and its effcts by collecting trash and sorting it whilst also creating a disruptive art exhibit. Eventually, we brought about change and then finished off the project by properly recycling all the material we collected. While these are just a few examples, this is what Longwood has taught me.
