Introduction of Myself
Hello all, my name is Tyler Bagbey and I am a Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing. This summer, I will be applying my major for the real world by working under my uncle at his restaurant the Louisiana Purchase. It is not an official internship, as I plan on completing that the next summer, but I feel that this will benefit me greatly in the world of business.
ePortfolio Purpose and Content
The purpose of this ePortfolio is to not only serve as my final exam for this section of English 400, but it will also showcase the course outcomes and knowledge that I have gained from the course. Each assignment will also have a reflection to demonstrate what I have gained from the course itself. Each assignment has allowed me to focus on my skills with teamwork with others, speech presentations, and writing concisely. I have been able to learn a lot about each of these with an abundance of precision.
Course Learning Outcomes:
1) engage in the process of citizen leadership by investigating multiple perspectives on important public issues;
2) understand the nature of public discourse/debate as determined by purpose, audience, and context;
3) choose appropriate formats in writing for a variety of purposes;
4) analyze the effectiveness of their own texts and processes for specific rhetorical situations;
5) understand how the knowledge, skills, and values learned in general education are interwoven and interrelated, and how they can contribute to the process of citizen leadership.
