Designing for Student Success in Nursing

Presented by Jo Ann Davis and Tammy Williams (Department of Nursing)

Presented are the preliminary findings from a survey  investigating nursing students’ perceptions of services, interactions and experiences. The survey, which assessed student perceptions of satisfaction with academic advising, social connectedness, involvement and engagement, faculty and staff approachability, learning experiences and student support services, was conducted during the fall of 2015. Results will help to determine which aspects of student satisfaction may have an impact on the program’s student retention and enable faculty to create a more meaningful learning experience for student retention.  Methodology, findings and actions planned for addressing concerns, and future research will be shared through this session.
