Currently, I am pursuing my bachelors degree in Social Work with a minor in Sociology at Longwood University, with an expected graduation date of December 2023.
Afterwards I am hoping to begin a career in the mental health field and work with individuals facing homelessness and/or housing insecurities.
Within three years after graduation, I would like to begin pursuing a master’s in social work to further my career goals and broaden my scope to a more macro level type of change in communities and policy.
I would like to help create programs that could better assist individuals with mental health and homelessness/housing insecurity, by focusing on life skills building, self-motivation, and mental health and/or medication management in outpatient-focused services.
Eventually, I would like these programs and policies to aide individuals in gaining more stable employment, mental health, and housing security.
