The goal of this project was to create a workshop for a target audience that addressed a specific type of family violence. We discussed physical and sexual abuse of elderly and disabled persons, both intra and extra-familial. Our target audience was the elderly individuals and their families. The presentation identifies the risk factors that can make an individual more at risk of experiencing abuse as well as what risk factors that could be identified in the perpetrator. It also gives a variety of resources available for those who are being abused or have been abused in the past.
