Career Plan
I plan to achieve my Masters of Social Work with a Macro Specialization after graduating from Longwood University with my Bachelors of Social Work. After gaining my MSW, I plan to attain experience in a legislative setting through working under state representatives, utilizing that job to network and discover additional organizations that align with my focus of advocacy, which is limiting corporate power and furthering human rights in the U.S. and international governments, particularly through an intersectional lens. Examples of these organizations include Amnesty International or Liberation in a Generation. I hope to be involved in policy advocacy work between organizations and legislators. With the resources and experience that I plan to build over those years, I seek to implement that knowledge as a policy director.
