The dependent variable for this ANOVA was engagement of the child. This was asked on a 0-10 scale. The independent variable for this ANOVA was household income. Respondents responded to tax bracket answers, which was then recoded into three groups, >$10,000-$30,999, $31,000-$70,999, and $71,000-$91,000 or more. The mean engagement for low-income households was 6.75 out of 10. The mean engagement for moderate income households was 8.67 out of 10. The mean engagement for high income households was 6 out of 10. According to the ANOVA results (F=.012), there is significance at the .05 alpha level.
