The dependent variable is family enjoyment. It is coded into a 10 point scale, 0 meaning “Not at all” and 10 meaning “A great amount”. The independent variable is parental education. It is coded into a 7 point scale: “Some high school”, “High school diploma or GED”, “Certification from a trade or vocational school”, “Some college”, “Associate’s degree”, “Bachelor’s degree”, and “Graduate degree or more”. There is a weak negative correlation between these variables (r=-0.0036). There is no significant difference.
