The dependent variable for this ANOVA was the parent involvement in the leaf painting activity. It was asked on a 0-10 scale. The independent variable was the hours the parent worked in a week. They were given the answer choices of 0-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, and 51+. The mean involvement for parents that worked 0-30 hours was 10. The mean involvement for parents that worked 31+ hours a week was 8.75. According to the ANOVA results (F=10.218) there is no significant difference between the means. This means that hours worked in a week by the parent does not significantly influence the level of involvement in the activity.
