About Me

My name is Morgan Spiers, and I am a dedicated Social Work graduate from Longwood University, having completed my studies in May 2024. Complementing my major, I also minored in psychology, a field that enriched my understanding of human behavior and cognition. Additionally, I was a member of Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society, a fraternity of students who hold the highest GPA of the social work student body. Alongside fellow members of Phi Alpha, I held positions on several service committees including organizing a fundraising campaign for the Andy Taylor Center Scholarship Fund to provide families with financial assistance to attend Andy Taylor Center. I also held the Vice President executive position for Longwood Club Tennis where I planned and held recreational tennis practices two nights each week.

Throughout my academic journey, I immersed myself in coursework that combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on experiences, preparing me for a career in social work that values compassion, cultural competence, and a commitment to making a positive impact on individuals and communities. As I embark on the next phase of my journey, I am excited about applying my skills and passion to contribute meaningfully to the field of social work.
