Regression

  • For this linear regression I am using v17 (family involvement) as my dependent variable and I am using v36 (income) as my independent variable.

Interpretation: I hypothesized that families with a higher income will have more family involvement throughout the activities. This means that family income would influence family involvement.

For every one-unit increase in income, involvement increases 0.1983 units. Therefore, it appears that family involvement is positively related to income. This finding is not significant.

The R2 statistic is 0.03832, meaning that this model explains 3.832 percent of the variation in the dependent variable (family involvement).
