Hi! My name is Rebecca Mills and I’m currently a senior at Longwood University majoring Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I am interested in working in the field of Ecology after I graduate. I have two years of research experience in detecting the binding properties of functionalized magnesomes, which I presented at the Virginia Academy of Science conference in May 2022. Currently, I work as a microbiology lab assistant at Longwood, which has given me a lot of experience with numerous lab techniques and has allowed me to gain a strong work ethic and organizational skills in a lab setting. I look forward to using the skills I’ve gained in the lab in future field work that I hope to be involved in after I graduate.
