TRC Designs, Inc.
From 2014 to 2019, I worked with a small business based out of Manquin, Virginia called TRC Designs, Inc. Our primary product was handmade wooden ornaments called Ginger Cottages. We were a single location production facility that supplied our product to corporations like Cracker Barrel and Hallmark. Throughout my time there, I demonstrated an excellent work ethic and an affinity to learn new skills. I held several positions and performed many tasks during my time with this company.
During my employment, I:
- Served as marketing manager where I corresponded with thousands of clients across the continent via email, phone, and standard mail
- Designed email campaigns through MailChimp to promote our products which were sent out to thousands of companies across the United States
- Oversaw the packaging of the ornaments being sent to Cracker Barrel, the largest buyer we had
- Worked in shipping where each ornament had to be carefully packaged
- Assembled ornaments
- Operated laser-engravers
- Operated a UV printer
Lancer Productions (Student Programming Board)
In 2021, I joined Longwood’s student programming board as a general member. By the next semester, I demonstrated enough initiative and passion that I was granted the opportunity to run for a director position, even though the organization’s constitution stated that a general member was required to be in the organization for a year before running for a position. The next semester, I was allowed to bypass a constitutional requirement, again, and run for an executive position.

- Decided on and ordered desirable merchandise with our organization’s brand to distribute to the student body
The Rotunda (Student Newspaper)
In 2022, I joined the staff for the student newspaper and was nominated to fill their Arts & Entertainment Editor position at the next meeting. As someone that enjoys all forms of media, I was eager to accept and was voted into the position at the next meeting. While holding this position, I corresponded with writers and gave suggestions for article topics as well as revisions to make their articles stronger. The articles I primarily edited were album reviews and film reviews. I also authored a few articles myself that were published in the newspaper. Two of those articles can be found here.
