Using information from class, explain why these are good/well written questions:

For the first question for my dependent variable,  it is a well written question because it gives us as researchers a way to understand how students are feeling about their overall experience related to all things asked in the survey. The question is very easy to understand and relates to the entire survey. For the second question it is a well written question because it is very straight forward and the answers are very straight forward as well, so there is no confusion. Neither of the questions have negative items. I also thought they were well written because they included 1 open ended question and 1 close ended question.

Discuss best practices for survey research:

The best practice for survey research is to ensure that your questions are well written, which means that the questions are written clearly and easy to understand, they are not double barreled, that the questions are relevant to your research. Other good practices for survey research is that the questions should be short, and they should also avoid bias and negative items. The questions should be consistent with your overall research Lastly, it is important to have open and close ended questions.
