      1. What were the participants’ goals?
      2. Were the goals specific?
      3. Were the goals measurable?
      4. Were the goals attainable?
      5. Were the goals relevant?
      6. Were the goals timely?
  1. After reviewing the goals the group facilitators will discuss with the participants the importance of self-care.
    1. Self-care means taking the time to do things that help you live well and improve both your physical health and mental health. When it comes to your mental health, self-care can help you manage stress, lower your risk of illness, and increase your energy. Even small acts of self-care in your daily life can have a big impact. The best time to do self-care is when you don’t think you have time to do it. Research suggests self-care promotes positive health outcomes, such as fostering resilience, living longer, and becoming better equipped to manage stress.
  2. Activity
    1. Group members will be given the hand out below and will be asked to fill it out. The purpose of this activity is to create a physical document for participants that will give them a visual reminder that self-care is needed and warning signs that self-care is needed now.
  1. The facilitators will then talk about self-care plans and how the homework from the last session was a rough draft of their self-care plan. The facilitators will ask the participants to take a couple minutes to list their top 3 self care strategies that were most beneficial throughout the sessions. The participants will write down each self-care strategy that they choose what self-care dimension it belongs to and then will begin to brainstorm goals for their self-care plan.
  1. Break
    1. Refreshments will be served
  2. Finalizing self-care plan
    1. Each group member will pair up with someone in the room and discuss what 3 self-care strategies they will be using in their self-care plan. Each participant will then talk about potential goals that they want to achieve with their self-care plan. The group will take 10 minutes to meet in their groups. The facilitators will walk around to each group and help members create goals
    2. The group will then come back together to discuss their goals and 3 strategies. The participants will then collaborate to come up with a goal for the whole group.
