To complete one of my three internship credits, I interned for the School Board Office for Prince Edward County Public Schools. This experience was immensely positive for me because it enabled me to gain a variety of professional writing experience, including reports, press releases, and newsletter articles. I also engaged with community members by distributing relevant news about the schools in a timely fashion. Although I only spent a little time in the schools themselves, I learned so much and developed a stronger passion for writing and professional communication. I will even be returning in Fall 2019 to continue working there!
