The dependent variable for this chi-squared analysis was family involvement. This was asked on a 0-10 scale and grouped into “Not involved” and “Involved”. The independent variable for this chi-squared analysis was education level attained. Respondents were grouped into two groups either “Low Education”, or “High Education”. The total number of parents identified as not involved was 12. 4 out of 12 not involved parents had low education. 8 out of 12 not involved parents had high education. The total number of parents identified as involved was 64. 28 out of 64 involved parents had low education. 36 out of 64 involved parents had high education. The critical chi-squared was .123. According to the chi-squared analysis, there is no significant difference between these categories.
