A press release is a professional marketing letter that highlights a new product that a company is offering. In this case, I was partnered with two other class mates to create a brand new imaginative company and effectively market a fake product. Our product is a app that connects with your closet that helps you pick out clothes each day. The purpose of the closet was to help college students or adults effectively organize and pick out their outfits . As a group we thought about the daily tasks of picking out the appropriate outfit for the day or to the weather. As a result we marketed the “Wishful Closet” App.
For this assessment, I created the app graphic for our company. We were marketing young adults so I wanted the graphic to be filled of light colors to invoke positive responses from our consumers. I also placed pictures of young men and women to be more inclusive. I chose the cursive font to emphasize the magical essence of the app and the user’s experience. This logo also matched the information in our release. The release was written very well in the context of plain English and it was organized professionally by including offers at the end. The release also includes a consumer’s testimonial to highlight costumer satisfaction. The letter was designed appropriately in block format and this project helped me master design, producing a new genre, and working in collaboration with others. We also had to effectively include pathos in this document to persuade consumers excitement about our product .
