ANOVA test
The Analysis of Variance test was conducted using the dependent variable of did the Astronaut Pudding Activity encourage your family to spend time together. The answers to this were on a scale of 0-10 with all answers either being 1.) seven, 2.) nine, or 3.) 10. The independent variable for this test was on average, how many hours a week do the parents work with answers being 1. 0-10 hours, 2. 11-20 hours, 3. 21-30 hours, 4. 31-40 hours, 5. 41-50 hours, 6. 51 or more hours, and 7. prefer not to answer. The mean for the number of people who answered with Seven was 4.0, the mean for the number of people who answered with Nine is also 4.0, and the mean for the number of people who answered with Ten is 3.667. The F-value was 1.4515 with a pr value of .2315 resulting in the test concluding that there is no significant difference between the encouragement of time together and the hours that someone works per week. These results can be seen in Table 2. below.
