Survey Research

For survey research, it is important that the survey is clear and concise. The questions that
are asked to need to be short and without bias. Along with this, the survey itself needs to look neat, this way the person doing the survey will not easily get overwhelmed. It is important that the demographic questions go at the end of the survey and any open-ended questions be placed closer to the top. My research question I hope to answer with this survey is: How do family fun time activities affect family involvement specifically I am interested in how socioeconomic affects family involvement? To access my dependent variable, the survey question I plan to use is: On a scale of 0-10 how did your involvement change during these activities? For my independent variable, the survey question I will use to measure socioeconomic status is: What is the highest level of education anyone in your household has completed? These questions can be used for our survey because they are to the point, with no double barrel, and are easy for people to answer.
