Pearson’s Correlation

The dependent variable for this correlation is family engagement. This was asked on a 0-10 scale. The independent variable for this correlation is level of education. The responses were coded as “some high school”, “high school or GED”, and “trade/vocational school, some college, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, and graduate degree or more.” R= -.0036, which is a weak negative correlation between engagement and level of education and there is no significance. Because of this, we retain the null hypothesis.
