This course traces the intellectual history of sociology as a discipline,
covering the important theoretical contributions of established
classical and contemporary theorists. As such, this course could
conceivably encompass an inexhaustible list of theorists, texts, and
ideas. Since a semester is definitely not enough time to cover the very
the long and rich history of sociological thought (course syllabus). Under this tab, there are three essays that readers may click on to further explore. These essays look at sociology theory ranging from the beginning of theoretical theory to then discussing more in-depth specific theorists like Durkheim and W.E.B Du Bois. All essay critically analyze their contributions and relate them all to the current world.
