I have a lot of contacts and take part in a variety of peer and professional learning communities not only for the fourth grade but for the entire school, as I mentioned in the previous standards. I take getting comments and asking questions seriously to help my students learn more effectively. I receive a lot of advice from the instructors who have been there the longest, and I also use a variety of research to improve my class plans. Also, because we have a variety of kids who are at varying levels, working side by side with my partner teacher and my CT allows us to share ideas on how to integrate the learning of all topics in a way that fits each student. As a result, with the assistance of my CT, we can design stations that make use of small group learning for the students as well as start with the whole class to provide them with examples, which will help scaffold them throughout their small groups in independent work.
