As previously mentioned, we meet once a week for our fourth-grade math team meetings, when we analyze all of our results and plan our next weeks. Along with our vice principal, we look over all of the standards to determine how to tailor lessons and teaching methods for each child while ensuring that both teachers and students have a thorough comprehension of them. The diverse levels of expertise among the fourth-grade team’s instructors benefit me as well because they may offer me criticism and instructional improvement suggestions. Before school starts each morning, my CT and I sit down and discuss my schedule for the day. In addition to this time, we also have a planning period on Thursday during which we can freely plan the following week. We talk and I may make my classes better if she has any suggestions or questions. Because I have two classes, teaching is how I reflect on myself and enhance my lessons. As I start my lesson for my first class, I move at the pace that I think the students should be at considering that I know them, and if things don’t go as planned, I have the opportunity to make modifications afterward. As I make the adjustments, I will go over them with the first class the following day to make sure they understand them completely and have the opportunity to ask questions if necessary.
