In relation to the previous paragraph, my cooperating teacher and I provide parents with weekly newsletters to showcase what their child is learning and any announcements they may need to know such as important school calendar dates, events, and school cancellations. One resource my cooperating teacher and I use to communicate with families is ClassDojo.  ClassDojo allows families to receive weekly updates regarding their child’s education. Parents get the opportunity to go through digital portfolios, and class stories, and send direct messages to us teachers.  Overall, I love using Class Dojo because it provides a single location for us teachers and families to interact, communicate, and share learning experiences, which ClassDojo unites our classroom community.
