Hello! My name is Laura Boyett and I am a BFA Theatre Performance Major and a Musical Theatre Minor from Appomattox, VA. At Longwood I am the Treasurer and the Community Service Chairman of Sigma Alpha Iota Gamma Kappa, the International Women’s Music Fraternity. I love helping my fraternity and serving my community. I have also been involved with multiple Longwood Theatre productions, most recently playing the role of Katalin Hunyak in CHICAGO: The Musical. I was also a member of Longwood’s Chamber singers, a small select choir that has traveled around Virginia to sing for different schools and even churches. Outside of school I actively participate in theatre across central Virginia including Southside Area Community Theatre in Kenbridge, VA and Waterworks Players right here in Farmville! I also play the ukulele and occasionally sing in community concerts in Lunenburg, VA. I can’t wait to continue my journey here at Longwood studying Theatre!
