About Me

I am a soon to be Longwood Graduate, with an aspiration of a career in conservation ecology. I will be graduating in the spring of 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in biology after a semester at the Smithsonian Mason Conservation Institute. At my time at Longwood I have participated in many classes that have greatly helped me on my way to a career in conservation ecology. Some noteworthy classes being ornithology, ichthyology and conservation biology, but also my independent research with Dr. Sujan Henkanaththegedara in which I learned how to formally conduct research and presented my findings at conferences such as the Virginia Academy of Science. Through these classes I have learned many different ecological concepts and different statistical tests that will help me with my future careers.
