I chose English as my Minor because I have always enjoyed reading and writing. My dad is a 6th grade English teacher and my mom has an English major. I grew up seeing my parents always reading something and they also wanted reading to be an important part of my life too. Reading is one of the biggest parts of people’s lives. It’s everywhere and in everything! I chose this major so I can help my student become confident and competent writers. I want to show them while it is one of the most important part of their lives, reading can also be fun!
