The American Presidency focuses on learning about contemporary presidents and the transition to modern day presidents. Additionally, we learned about contemporary politics, the office of the presidency, bureaucracy, the significant role between the president and congress, the role of the president in policy making, and the presidential election process. The role of the president is essential in shaping policy and agenda setting. While the office of the president’s power has transformed since the traditional presidency of the founding fathers it is more essential now to understand the role and the functions of all previous presidents to better understand those to come.
