This class was like no other class I had taken before. At the beginning of the semester we focused on what citizenship was, and how citizenship can mean many things. At the end of the semester we narrowed our focus and learned about women’s roles in society. I would definitely recommend this class to not only women but men because it allows the students to see how gender plays a big role in not only today’s society but in the past as well.
The artifact I have included was part of my final project, “Women in Sports.” I had to create my own course for an imaginary class. I based my course around Women’s roles in sports and sports media. Attached is my syllabus for the course and it includes seven units that my class would have studied. This project helped me understand the research process by finding relevant sources as well as teaching me how to argue my opinion.
