CTZN 110
For CTZN 110 we analyzed aspects of life, culture, and citizenship through works of art such as paintings and photographs. We would look for themes and messages in these works to see what the artist is trying to convey. The artist message could be simple for complex. We often saw political messages and commentary on the times that the work was published in. I enjoyed taking this class and getting insight into different cultures and times. During the class we took two field trips, one to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and one to the Institute of Contemporary Art. Below is my reflection on our trip to the VMFA.
