Surprisingly, I loved this class! My professor, Dr. Minor, taught my classmates and I hundreds of drugs and their properties in a short amount of time! Although it took me awhile to get a hang of this intense learning style of memorization, I ended the semester great. Dr. Minor has a great way of teaching that allows us to take on a plethora of information. This class was an enhancement course and my final project to receive honors credit was to present on a topic meaningful to me related to nursing. I choose to speak to the class on postpartum depression and how we as nurses can do better. Attached is my paper!
Aging and the Life Course
This Honors class taught me about how aging occurs socially, economically, and politically. Because I am a nursing major, we study aging in the concept of science and health. This class was interesting because we learned about the other side of aging. One of the main projects in this class was to interview someone over the age of 65 on a variety of topics. I learned so much about my grandmother that I did not know before! I learned about her social life, parenting styles, and how losing her spouse effected her. The attachment below is the transcription I gathered from this interview.
