Biological Concepts and Applications was a class that highlights my greatest failing of my Freshman year at Longwood, and it is tied to my artifact. Because of a combination of me finding the material naturally easy, and my forgetful nature, I became lazy with regards to keeping track of my assignments. This resulted in a few small online quizzes slipping through the cracks. This wouldn’t have been a big deal, except for the fact that if I had remembered to do those few quizzes, I would have received an A in the class. That A would have boosted my GPA, which considering the trouble I am in with the Honor’s College over my GPA, would have been very helpful. While I did not learn very much traditional material in this class, Biological Concepts and Applications taught me what I believe is the most valuable lesson I have learned here at Longwood. That lesson would be to always work your absolutely hardest on every single assignment, because even if it appears small, those little assignments will add up eventually.
