Going into my first Sociology course, I expected it to do little more than fulfill a general education requirement. I wasn’t exceedingly interested in the topic beforehand, and I typically do not enjoy classes that are heavily speaking based. By the end of the semester, Sociology easily became my favorite class that I had taken. I found the subject matter incredibly interesting and engaging, and I was always eager to learn as much as I could about each topic we delved into. I was especially excited by the big research paper we had been working on all semester, which I have included a part of as my artifact. I learned through my sociology course that sometimes you need to try new things. You never know what you will enjoy unless you give it a shot.
