During my time in my Writing and Rhetoric class, the overall goal was to prepare for future writings I would have to do in school. Similar to Tale’s of the Frontier, this course was very writing intensive, but unlike Tale’s of the Frontier, most of this course was based around persuasive and creative writing. I was forced to write compelling stories and arguments that showed off the depths of my creative mind, and this presented a great challenge to me, as I tend to be a very insecure person when it comes to presenting my own personal works of fiction. I was forced to put aside my insecurities and practice my presentation and writing skills simultaneously. Despite the fears and doubts that I had whenever I had to present an assignment, I had no other choice but to work up the courage and show off to my professor what I had created. I am very glad to have taken this course, because it has given me the chance to begin to open up the shell I keep myself in.
