The Press Release was another assignment we had to work in a group with. This press release directly related to our brochure as they were on the same topic. The course learning outcomes associated with the press release was outcome number one, which was to produce writing genres commonly found in the professional world. News Release often releases specific information on events, products, and companies. These are released on a variety of platforms such as the news and social media. In addition course learning outcome six was incorporated because we had to all agree on the material going into the press release and ensure that all the information followed the eight C’s. I had no previous experience writing a news release, so being able to address a specific audience and follow a specific format was crucial for our group to follow to create a successful news release.
