My math 301 class was a statistics class that introduced many things that I was not previously familiar with. Specifically, we used computer software for solving statistics problems and wrote many papers. Within this class there was a heavy emphasis on homework. Homework had to be completed for almost every class and I quickly learned the importance of doing well on the homework in order to be successful in the class. Additionally, I learned a lot about communication and working with others in order to complete the four math papers we had throughout the semester. The first two papers were collaborative and the skills I learned from completing them helped me understand the best ways to complete the second two on my own. This class moved at a pretty fast pace which made me quickly adapt to how to best take notes. I found the best way to study was writing the practice problems we did in class and referencing the PowerPoint slides.

For my artifact I will show one of my papers I completed. This paper was a 2-Way ANOVA test which analyzed the interaction between one’s sex and classification (freshmen, sophomore, junior, or senior) and their effect on the number of hours of exercise people get in a typical week.
