Reflection –
This common good project demanded an understanding of a multitude of rhetorical tools and concepts as well as the skills to implement them. This project covered a few of our course outcomes as well including outcome 1 to engage in the process of citizen leadership by investigating multiple perspectives on important public issues, outcome 3 to choose appropriate formats in writing for a variety of purposes, and outcome 5 to understand how the knowledge, skills, and values learned in general education are interwoven and interrelated, and how they can contribute to the process of citizen leadership. This project helped to further enhance my knowledge on the subject material and rhetorical tools and concepts; however, it also required a decent knowledge on the material to begin in the first place. It served as a good test for those looking to test their knowledge. This project also assisted my growth as an active citizen as the subject had to be on a world issue. My group chose to cover pollution by air, land, and sea.
