To fulfill this perspective I took the class SPANISH 211, in order to take this you need to take the class SPANISH 111 and fulfill that pillar. This class was a full emersion into the Spanish language as the professor expected us to only speak in Spanish while in class, and built off the skills we learned in 111 by teaching us new words and conversions. The last assignment we had was a 10-minute video where we had to explain something that happens in Spanish culture or a current event. This assignment was very difficult because we had to speak in Spanish for an extended period of time while trying to use words that we may not have learned in class. However, this was a good end of the year project because it used everything we had learned in class that semester and in years past. We also had to work in groups that helped build stronger relationships with students in my class. This is the dialogue I used when speaking on my part for the project which was about a famous musician who was blind, but composed music and played multiple instruments. There is also a video attached. The complexity of the assignment allowed me to advance my skills in the Spanish language further and allowed me to learn more about the culture.
