Brochure

Reflection

The intent of a brochure is to bring awareness to different things such as a product, service, health problem, destination, and more. This was a collaborative group assignment in which the concept of a product and subsequent brochure was created. This document utilized Course Learning Outcomes (CLO) one, two, three, four, and six.

This creation required analysis of previously made brochure examples to learn what a product-based brochure with the intent of selling said product would include. It also required the use of the Eight C’s to make the brochure effective and appealing. The audience is less likely to fully read a brochure if it is too wordy, lacks graphics, and the content is difficult to read and understand.

My group did some research about other product brochures and what we should include in our content to showcase our product in the best light possible. Also, for this document, we had to learn about how to format it to make it as appealing as possible to our audience. We had to pay special attention to the layout so that a printed version would fold correctly and our six panels of content would read in the order we intended. Overall, this document required a lot of collaboration and communication to bring all of our vision’s together into an effective and aesthetically pleasing brochure.
