About Me

Hi I’m Ryan Fleming. I am a senior Criminal Justice major who switched to Criminal Justice after two years as an Electrical Engineering Major at my prior institution, the University of New Haven. I transferred here in the Fall of 2017 as a transfer student-athlete for the Men’s Soccer Team. I transferred in as a redshirt junior which means technically I was a senior coming in but had two years of eligibility to play and finish up my degree. I like group work and group working environments because I am a people person and do better with school related assignments when I do them in a social setting.

 

About the Site

Welcome to my Advanced Writing Portfolio. This portfolio will be displaying my assignments from my ENGL 400 class. These assignments will range from Journal Entries to the Common Good Project. Course Learning Outcomes 1) engage in the process of citizen leadership by investigating multiple perspectives on important public issues; 2) understand the nature of public discourse/debate as determined by purpose, audience, and context; 3) choose appropriate formats in writing for a variety of purposes; 4) analyze the effectiveness of their own texts and processes for specific rhetorical situations; 5) understand how the knowledge, skills, and values learned in general education are interwoven and interrelated, and how they can contribute to the process of citizen leadership.
