As well as developing proficiency in professional document formatting, we worked on our creative skills with brochure design. Professional Writing gave me the tools and knowhow to work visually with the pillars of design and create a good-looking persuasive document. Our brochure assignment tested our ability to pull together images and text into one cohesive document. Even though I’ve had experience with visual design in other classes, this class challenged me to develop my skills in a more comprehensive manner in a real-world situation. We got to focus ina group setting and combine efforts to create a finished product. Looking back on the class, this assignment was the most fun to work on.
