PSYC 423

Theories of Personality

Even though I decided that a career involving psychology was not for me, I still wanted to continue with my psych minor. This class was a required elective for the psychology minor. In this class, I learned about personality; what it is, how it is affected, and how or if it can be studied. This was one of the psych classes that I enjoyed more than others. The professor made it very easy for us to ask questions and was very willing to work with us. Even though this was a 400 level class, I did not find myself struggling. The material was laid out in a way that was very easy to understand.

This artifact is an assignment given during the period of online classes. In this artifact, I had to apply my knowledge of different personality disorders discussed in class to real life scenarios. I would read a person’s personality profile and “diagnose” them with one of the ten personality disorders based on certain signs and symptoms they displayed.
