MATH 301

Applied Statistics

This class was very similar to my AP Statistics class I took in high school. There was one major difference between this class and AP Statistics though. In this class, I learned how to calculate and solve problems as well as create graphs and tables through an online program called RStudio. This surprised me because I am used to relying on a graphing calculator. RStudio allowed me to solve problems faster than on a graphing calculator. Most of the topics we covered in class were ones that I had already learned in high school, which helped when it came to understanding the material. I did struggle slightly when it came to new material I was unfamiliar with, but overall I believe that I did fairly well in this class. My favorite part was learning through RStudio.

My artifact for this class is one of the four final reports of the class. I had to create a report using a specific statistic test based on the data I was given. Most of my calculations were made through RStudio.
