To fulfill this credit I took WGST 115- Gender, Representation, and Culture. Through this course I learned how to analyze media in order to pick out underlying gender stereotypes. I also learned about the social constructs that both men and women must face. This class helped me to become a better citizen leader as gave me skills in order to detect bias and stereotyping and also made me ore cognizant of whether that is something I am subconsciously using.
The article that I inserted below is an analysis of a meme and how it plays into expectations of men and women and the double standard they face.
