Course Journals

For my writings on ‘Terministic screens’, ‘Rhetoric of Hitler’s battle’, and ‘Thoreau’s Civil Disobedience’, I did my best to follow the outline in the textbook as well as the notes I took during Dr. Guler’s class to complete the assignments. The objective of writing these journals was to demonstrate our comprehension of and engagement with the reading assignments from the course textbook. I believe these journal writing assignments have helped me to learn about rhetoric writing for citizenship while also relating to the course objectives for this English-400 class. The learning outcome that is most relevant to these specific writings is the one that states “understand how the knowledge, skills, and values learned in general education are interwoven and interrelated, and how they can contribute to the process of citizen leadership”. The lessons and knowledge acquired from these assignments helped me become a better citizen leader through my writing.
