Kevin A. Napier

 

My name is Kevin Napier and I am seeking a position as a Health and Physical Education teacher. Currently, I am certified in BikeSmart, CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor, USTA, and Concussion Safety. While earning my B.S. in Kinesiology from Longwood University, I also served as the Secretary and Vice President of PHETE First, our major’s club. In addition, during my junior year of college I was elected as the Student Representative to the VAHPERD (Virginia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance) Board of Directors. During my undergraduate career I also presented several research projects. The first research project was completed during my freshman year and consisted of surveying various Prince Edward, VA students on their exercise and nutrition habits. After gathering all of my data I created a nutrition brochure to be handed out to Prince Edward students. The second research project I completed was during my junior year and consisted of analyzing VDOE data on teen crash statistics in Virginia. The third research project I worked on included creating lessons plans that infused movement into middle school math curriculum. I feel that I am qualified to be hired for your Health and Physical Education position.
