Reflection:
In completing the Bad News Letter and Persuasive Letter I learned many things about professional writing. Through this assignment, I was able to gain a better understanding of how to properly convey bad news in a productive way and also compose a letter to persuade someone to do something. Along with learning those things, I was also able to learn how to successfully format a Bad News Letter and Persuasive Letter which fulfilled the fourth learning objective for this class which states, “create professional documents that use design—standard formats, layout, use of graphics, etc.” Another learning objective that I was able to fulfill was the second objective which states, “create professional documents that use plain English (clear, concise, and grammatically correct).” While completing this assignment I had difficulty fully utilizing the eight C’s, however, after reviewing the book and examples that we had discussed in previous classes, I was able to perfect the usage of the eight C’s in both of these assignments.
