This project was important to us as a group. We took what we have learned to put this project together in helps to move our audience into action for the greater good. If you make a difference in how someone views a situation and get them to rally for the good of society and that we need to stand together. Our blog was created to make people think about how we see and treat one another. It takes far less energy to be kind then it does to hate and be mean. No matter who we are, where we come from, the color of our skin or what economic status is, we all should be treated equally, fairly and justly. When we take a look at some of the hard pictures of our past (symbol & visual action) we can see that there needs to be a change. Those pictures are there to remind us not to keep repeating history. Through rhetoric we can persuade others to look at the world differently and we can work together to make the American Dream a reality. Our blog is a symbolic action to be used to persuade its audience towards peace. Working on this project, you come realize that you can make a difference. Below a poem I wrote inspired by Langston Hughes’s, “Let America Be America Again.”
America, what was (a land of opportunity) America, What is (a land divided) America, What it can be (a land of change) Through the struggle There is hope… Do you dare? Do You Dream? The American Dream!
