While at Longwood, I participated in several academic research and presentations opportunities. In addition to presenting research for an honors enhancement during the university-wide Research Day in spring 2017, I also took part in a panel presentation, during which I talked about “How FDR’s Fourth Inauguration Reflected the Effect of the Second World War on American Society,” which was based on research conducted during a fall 2016 class. The following fall, I was accepted by the NCHC to present a poster on my research regarding the effect of foreign involvement during the American Revolution. January 2018, I traveled to New Orleans to present the same research on FDR as previously mentioned. The same paper was accepted by Longwood University’s Incite Journal of Undergraduate Research, and will be published in the ninth volume in May 2018.
